Instead of a foreword
I expected a different
Great Building. I expected something tantamount to a mountain built of
ancient languages and contemporary puzzles. Some contemporary Babylon
Tower…But it took me more than a couple of steps to see the Great
Building in its entire majesty: not a mountain but a mountain range cast
of speech, with riddles and responses, a temple of thought, full (but
never too full!) of mysterious chambers fully showing the signpost only
to the one who is considerate. Those are chambers that are not
necessarily linearly connected although if you reach some of them with a
leap, you may find yourself taken aback by the thought that something is
missing - a wall or a window or…But don’t you worry: the Great
Master has not forgotten about these building elements – he has only
concealed them behind a certain unforeseeable corner, behind some
secretive veil, since the joy of discovering is greater than the joy of
blind following.
I am leaving you alone
with this book.
